Keiko - Jeff and Renee have adopted this beautiful dog! After spending 3 days stuck in a storm drain New Angel has a new home and a new name, NALA! The Corralesos have opened their hearts and their home to this piece of heaven-on-earth. This is one of those story book endings that touches us deep within our souls. THIS is what HDF is all about, people making a difference! This is ALOHA! One of our heroes, Melody, has spent so much time and effort rehabilitating Misty that there is NO way she'll let her go. Misty is hers for keeps! MAHALO! MELODY, you are a SAINT! Maka's Mom has beaten away all obstacles and is now ready to give Maka a home for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maka, baby, you ain't going nowhere! You are safe and loved in your new HOME!  Kiko was adopted by Keana and Jeremy! - These 2 loving souls lost their beloved Bull Terrier a few months back and fell in LOVE with Kiko and took her into their lives!
Half-Tone's caretakers have realized they could NEVER part with him! He's become a PERMANENT part of their family! Stanley - Good things come to those who wait. The LONG wait is OVER!Stanley was adopted at HHS! ALL RIGHT! Evie found her new family at HHS! Though we don't know who they are, we certainly have thanked them over and over again in our hearts! Rocky was the first Dog we ALMOST lost! Just an hour away from being 'put to sleep', he was adopted by John and Sandy. We met these truly remarkable people at our Blaisdell Park meeting in February! MAHALO! John and Sandy! This beautiful Mom and all of her puppies (5) have been adopted! The Mom and one of her daughters will be heading to Aiea with Greg and Sandy, the others are off to spend their lives with good families too!
Brian (Chinese Crested) Thanks to our resident foster mom/rescuer/adoption coordinator/groomer/fundraiser and inspiration Pris Thomas. Brian is now enjoying his retirement in a lovely beachfront home with his new Mom and Dad (Mahalo Lea and Joe Galisa). Joe tells us that in addition to lounging on the couch all day, Brian enjoys a leisurely walk on the beach at least once a day. You guys are making a BIG difference in such a short time! Heidi (Border Collie Mix) The owner found a home for this beautiful dog. She is staying in the family and will be living with the owner's mother. What a blessing for both the dog and the owner. She will be able to keep track of Heidi does and her mother will have a wonderful companion. Maybe in the future she can come and visit. Heidi really loves her owner and cried when she came to pick her up to take her to her new home. Happy ending! Luke Dagan found a young couple who fell in love with him. Sully is doing great and very happy and his new family thinks he is such a doll!
Lucy has found a great new home and is enjoying her new family in her new backyard! Anela - Jenny and Carl have opened their hearts and homes to this AMAZING Dog! All 4 of our little 'bundles of joy have found good homes! Nino has been adopted by a wonderful young couple who met him at Petland and feel 'head over heels'! Our beautiful little girl, Koki has decided to move to the slower paced island of Kauai! While she'll miss the Oahu gang she's going to be spoiled by Kathleen and Alfred Magno. She arrived safely and is enjoying her new back yard and is looking forward to long walks on the beach with Kathy and Al! Nani & Kira's, Mom and Dad (Ric and Rae) have found a home for them! Ikaika - A BIG MAHALO to the Antonios for enabling us to conclude this amazing story!

Jake - We found a good home for Jake, but Dennis and the family just couldn't part with their Best Friend of 12+ years, so Jake will moving to Washington with the rest of the family! Roo has decided that she's had enough of 'life on the streets'! She's settling down with her new family, which includes 4 other Dogs, 2 cats, 1 parrot a whole family of VERY nice humans! A Big Mahalo to the Nakanos! Vanessa has been adopted by a Maui family. She was last seen walking along the beach with the family's youngest daughter! Angel has finished basic training and is now a full fledged US Marine! Kim, her husband and their 2 beautiful children have made Angel a part of their wonderful family. Angel is now enjoying life in Kaneohe where she is the center of ATTENTION! Skipper & Meia - It had to happen! Our resident 'ambassadors of cute' have left the nest. Luckily they'll be living only blocks apart with two families that spend lots of time together. Cindy tells me that Meia has gotten over her initial shyness and now has the run of the house. While Sam says Skipper enjoys watching the birds in the yard every morning.
Elliot has been adopted by the Deels! New Mom, Ginger, says everything is going well. He evens brings her his Kong at bed time to remind her he needs his bed time snack! From the mountains of Waianae to mountains of love and affection! Sweetie has been adopted and this time it's for good! New Mom, Lydia, has given her a brand new name, Ginger, to go with her brand new life! When we called to see how things were going we were told, in no uncertain terms, that we WEREN'T getting back!!!! ALL RIGHT! Bambi has come down from the Mountain! Having been born in the Waianae Mountains, the only human contact Bambi ever had was with Elizabeth as she was being fed over the months. She finally trusted enough to get into a car last week. After one night with Elizabeth, a trip to the Vet, and an overnight stay with Michael and Dea she came to Pet's Discount on Sunday. Waiting there for her was her soon-to-be new Mom, Terry. It was LOVE at first sight! While trying to adjust to 'civilization' Bambi is being showered with affection (and lots of toys!) by her new Mom Rescuer Brandi has found a home for Girlie! MAHALO, Brandi, you are a true HDF hero! Ruby, our precious Ruby, has finally been adopted!
Buster has been adopted! New Mom Katie has taken him into her home which includes another dog and a yard! A big MAHALO to Foster Mom Vickie for teaching him what he needed to know! Super Foster Mom Kale, and her fiancé Maka have decided that they just can't give Cocoa up! She'll be spending her days going to work with Maka and her sidekick Magnus! (Kale's other Dog) Molly will be going to her new home with Liz and Rick, who have fallen 'head over heals' for her! Lucy, Lacy. Lilly, and Linus have all found good homes! Duke has found a great home with kids to play with and everything! Ashley and Mario worked wonders with him in the short time he was with them.
HDF Volunteer and friend David has decide to take Brownie into his home permanently! He's changed her name to Anela (Angel in Hawaiian) and is giving her heavenly treatment. Claire will be joining Shar for long runs on the beach and lounging in front of the TV! Betsy will be moving in with Bambi! Terry and Toni have decided that Bambi needs a little sister and Betsy fits the bill just right! Maggie - Peggy has done such a fantastic job in rehabilitating Maggie (Her weight has DOUBLED!) that she just can't part with her. So Maggie will be come a permanent member of her household! God Bless you, Peggy! humai has moved in with Tiger, a wonderful woman who has been looking for a dog like him 'all her life'!
Moses, our handsome basket baby has been adopted by Chris, Heather and their two beautiful daughters. He's getting along great with their other dog, Coffee! Baba - Anne and family moved here just 3 weeks ago and realized that they were missing that 'special someone'. Turns out, it was Baba! Love at first site and they are all very happy! Theo has been adopted! He's living quite comfortably with his new family and is finally 'his own dog'! Billy is now living in Ewa with Cynthia and family! He's the center of attention and... loving it! Kali is now a part of Shannon and Mari's family which includes a daughter, a son and a cat!

Annie - There is just NO WAY Kim will give up Annie! They have officially become part of each other's family! Pulele - Shelly has been chosen by Pulele to be her new Mom! A BIG MAHALO to Sarah for her wonderful job of fostering this little angel! Ginger! Our wonderfully sweet 7 year old Red Nose has found the PERFECT family. After spending time with Super Foster Mom, Vickie and then our newest Superstar, Karen Ginger has been adopted by Heather and family. While she still has a way to go health wise she's well on the road to the life she's always deserved! Silver - Silver and Princess have found a new home... and the it's the SAME home! A big MAHALO to Renee who just couldn't drive by them as they ran down the road in Ewa! Renee exemplifies EXACTLY what HDF is all about! Buffy has found a 'home for the holidays'... and beyond with Bobbi Jo and family! Gus - We kinda knew it would happen! Malissa has decided there is NO way she can give Gus to another family! Gus: you one lucky Dog! Honey, Kristina's Miracle baby, has found a permanent loving home. Hula - After a stay with Renee and family, Hula has found true love with Samantha! Waikula, the nervous young Lady fostered back to health by Vickie and Karen, has found a new home just in time for the New Year! A big Mahalo to her new parents: Norman & J. Marie.
