Position: Fundraising and Event
Coordinator
Fundraisers and promotional events
help HDF raise money and awareness about our mission.
 |
Correspond with Hawaii
businesses to set up various fundraisers, events and donation
drives. |
|
|
Prepare and/or deliver
promotional materials (banner, flyers, brochures, donation box,
etc.) to event sponsor or venue. |
|
|
Arrange for HDF fosters and
dogs to attend event. |
|
|
Set up and host promotional
HDF booth at events. |
|
|
Provide promotional
materials to high school students and other people who can set
up their own fundraiser. |
|

Event and fundraising
examples:
|
|
Silent auction and
month-long donation drive at Alliway gift shop in Ward
Warehouse. Customers also got a store discount for
donating items from HDF's wish list, such as dog food
and toys. |
|
|
Annual Pet Expo at
Blaisdell Center, one of Hawaii's biggest dog events. |
|
|
Sidewalk clothing
and jewelry sale at Wedding Café in Ward Warehouse, with
percentage of sales donated to HDF. |
|
|
Dog Day
Afternoon at Koko Marina Center – In addition to a
fashion show, TV interview and adoption booth, the event
featured "Paws for the Cause" discount cards. For a $10
donation which benefited HDF, supporters received a card
that provided discounts at participating Koko Marina
merchants. |
